Quora Answer (https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-relevant-skills-and-experience-one-should-gain-before-going-for-a-MBA)
An MBA abroad is of the duration of 1 year as compared to an MBA done from India.
A lot of good universities are located in USA AND EUROPE, and these countries are technically advanced, so the first skill you can upgrade on your resume is computer skills like software development, website development and android app development, these may help you in fetching a job in digital marketing after MBA too.
Secondly, all professional should be good orators. You must constantly work to improve your public speaking skills. Well, the education system has been designed in such a way that it’s devoid of an institution to teach and improve your public speaking skills. To conquer this art and improve oratory skills, there is an International organisation Toastmasters, which has helped a lot of students and working professionals to improve public speaking skills.
Toastmasters on your resume are of significant value as some of the jobs interviewers and MBA college exempt you from taking standard speaking tests, which usually have to be cleared.
You can check out the Facebook page for more information on your engagement with toastmasters at Pro Orators Toastmasters Club
With respect to experience, I will suggest to work for minimum a year, to understand how a professional life looks like , get a little clarity on your field and choice of industry.

1yr programmes are typically targeted at people with substantial experience. These programmes are structured in such a manner that students can take maximum advantage and learning in a short period of time by relating these experiences with academics. The course load also means that certain skill sets are expected from students. The important ones are:
1/ Communication: written and verbal communications skills of a very high order are expected in order to relay thoughts and effort.
2/ People management: a considerable amount of course work will be done in teams of 3-5 people. Managing stressful situations, conflict, differences, etc. will be key to completion
3/ Quantitative: quantitative skill will be called upon for almost all subjects – finance, operations, strategy, economics, even marketing. Comfort with numbers and analysis is expected.
4/ Work ethic: a lot needs to be completed in a very short period and a disciplined approach towards work is expected.
