Exams Postponed in India

In the winter of 2019, a new strain of virus called coronavirus started to show high levels of danger in the city of Wuhan, China. Death rates suddenly gained momentum when other countries like Spain, Italy and the USA started to show a positive sign of coronavirus infected patients. Due to the high rates of infected people, countries around the world decided to close down their day-to-day work and adapt quarantine lifestyle avoiding social contact with each other.

 

Due to which a lot of exams were postponed to an alternative date. Here is a list of the exams postponed in India

 

ICAI CA

Due to the notorious coronavirus outbreak and nationwide lockdown,n the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) postponed the Chartered Accountancy exams which were originally scheduled to be held in the month of May. According to news, the new date for the ICAI Chartered Accountant exam will be between June-July.

 

Board examination 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the biggest school boards in the world has postponed the class 10 board exams and class 12 board exams till march. Due to the coronavirus, the board exams will be rescheduled for other dates.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has advised to postponing all the other activities of schools and institutions as well.

 

JEE Main 2020

Due to the sudden rise in the number of infected people in India the JEE mains were postponed until March. The NTA (National Testing Agency) stated that the new dates for JEE Main will be announced on  31st March 2020.

 

NEET 2020

The biggest medical exam for admission to undergraduate MBBS/BDS & AYUSH courses is postponed The National Testing Agency (NTA) postponed the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for MBBS courses due to the recent outbreak of coronavirus in the country.

 

SSC

The SSC recruitment exams were postponed due to the recent uprising of coronavirus in India. The Commission decided that to postpone the ongoing Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (Tier-I), 2O19 with effect from March 20, 2020.

 

Telangana board exams

Due to the higher concentration of COVID-19 infected patients in the southe. The state Govenment closed all schools and posponed the board exams to later death april.

 

UPSC Civil Services personality tests

The Union Public Service Commission UPSC postponed its examination for The Personality Test which was scheduled from March 23, 2020, to April 3, 2020. The new schedule will be announced soon.

 

Uttarakhand state board exams

The annual board examination for the state of Uttrakhand was postponed to a later date due to the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Due to the lockdown and Prime Minister’s advice for social isolation, the department postponed its exams for the current year.
